Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal 

In simple terms: yes. 

Rozier may be the prototypical guard to play alongside James. He’s not an elite passer. He also doesn’t need to be, because James is. Rozier is an aggressive scoring guard who is consistent from long range. That’s all the Lakers need. 

Hayward also provides some secondary playmaking and floor spacing. He’s no longer a star contributer, but he’ll compliment James and Anthony Davis nicely. 

That’s the real takeaway from the Westbrook experiment. The Lakers already have two star players who they won an NBA championship with.
