Still, these are the defending NBA champions. The Warriors won’t ship a player out just to clear cap space. Luckily, this deal could help them in 2022-23 as well. 

Powell could be a perfect candidate to carry this team’s second unit. Given how they’ve performed this season, that would be vital.
