This deal should help them speed things up. Perhaps just as importantly, it helps them space things out. In other words, it helps them build an ideal team for Anthony Edwards.
The major prize here is probably Bridges. He is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate. By joining him with Gobert, the Wolves will have one of the best defensive duos in the NBA.
Still, Rozier is the most talented offensive player they’re returning. Meanwhile, Washington allows them to run small-ball lines that we suspect Edwards will really love.
