Of course, sometimes, things are exactly as they seem. 

For example, look at the Charlotte Hornets. If anyone had predicted they’d be 3-10 at this stage in the season, nobody would have questioned them. On the other hand, it’s a decent mark in light of their circumstances. 

After all, if that same person knew LaMelo Ball would have missed the team’s first 11 games, they might have predicted a win or two for them.

It’s hard not to wonder how well the Hornets may play when Ball returns. He is, undeniably, the most talented player on this team.

Given his absence, the Hornets are actually off to a fairly impressive start. 

Perhaps they should look to upgrade their roster in anticipation of Ball’s arrival. Does this deal help them do so?
