Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal 

Some say that the team that gets the best player in a trade wins that trade. If that’s true, the Clippers take this victory by a country mile. 

Irving is by far the most talented player in this exchange. In fact, he’s one of the most talented players we’ve ever seen. For all of his shortcomings, we cannot question his abilities. 

Moreover, the Clippers could use a point guard upgrade. Sure, a platoon of Reggie Jackson and John Wall is passable. At the moment, neither is on Irving’s level. This is a simple case of a contender making their roster better. 

That may be pertinent for the Clippers soon. At 3-4, they haven’t looked the part of a contender yet.
