Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
Some Jazz fans will insist on a first-round pick for Sexton. That’s fair. At the same time, it may not come.
After all, Sexton is fresh off of a major injury. Front offices may need to see more availability from him than he can provide between now and the trade deadline to fork over a valuable first-rounder. If that’s true, should the Jazz settle on Davis?
We think so. After all, Davis is a recent lottery pick. He may not be on pace to live up to those expectations, but he’s still a 20-year-old with potential. The rebuilding Jazz would do well to gamble on him.
As for Barton, they may look to reroute him in another trade or buy him out. In all likelihood, they’ll find a taker for him.
