Look at both of the players we’ve got the Jazz receiving here. See how they’re both listed as guards/forwards? Only a few short years ago, that would have been a lot less common. 

Barton is an especially interesting example of changing positional expectations in the NBA. Realistically, he can play the 1, 2, or 3, and he does.

In the modern, positionless NBA, such versatility is increasingly common.

Johnny Davis provides a similar example. In fact, plenty of twos can play the three in the modern NBA, especially with three-guard lineups becoming increasingly fashionable. 

Should the Wizards really part with these two versatile players?
