For Lakers fans, this deal is a fantasy. It probably won’t happen. 

After all, the Wizards are not an organization that’s known for tanking. Often, they seem to opt to stay as competitive as possible, no matter how far they are from an NBA title. With that said, if they’re open to this trade, the Lakers would be insane to turn it down. 

Porzingis is the highlight of the return. When healthy, he’s a floor-spacing big man who also protects the rim.

In pairing him with Anthony Davis, the Lakers would be returning to the twin towers look that won them the 2019-20 NBA title – only this time, both towers space the floor.

O the other hand, a reunion with Kuzma makes sense too. With the team’s starting frontcourt set, he’d likely function as a sixth man. Still, he’s grown into a quality two-way wing who could help this team on a number of lineups.
