Of course, these two players aren’t only stylistically different. They had vastly different paths to the NBA as well. 

D’Angelo Russell was a lottery pick. He was widely expected to be a star player, and a quick look at his college tape tells you why. Russell’s floor vision was on full display, and it landed him in the lottery. 

By contrast, Rozier was a mid first-round pick. He wasn’t expected to be a star. On the other hand, any player who’s earned the moniker “Scary” Terry Rozier has at least flirted with stardom.  

There’s an irony in comparing these two players. Despite those vastly different paths to the NBA, they now occupy a similar stature in the league.
