Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

You’re going to read a lot of opinions about Green’s recent actions. Ours is a little wishy-washy. 

On the one hand, nobody should be punching anyone unless they’re defending themselves. The film looks bad. Green should, and likely will be, punished for his actions. 

On the other hand, Green’s intensity has been part of what’s fueled these successful Warriors teams for nearly a decade. That holds true on and off the court. If you’re looking for a player to establish a winning culture, you may not need to look much further than Green. 

That’s largely why the Knicks would be interested. Green is, arguably, the best defensive player of his generation. He’s going to make your team better.

Still, and perhaps more importantly, he’s going to make it more intense and more competitive. If the Knicks traded for Green and another star soon after, they could find themselves in a much better situation soon.
