Why The Golden State Warriors Do The Deal 

It’s not hard to justify this deal for the Warriors. They are, simply put, a contending team improving their roster. 

Some will argue that this move makes the Warriors too guard-heavy. Fair enough. At the same time, Klay Thompson can comfortably slot up to the 3 spot. Meanwhile, Jordan Poole can resume his role as sixth man. Such is the beauty of the modern, positionless NBA. 

Meanwhile, how exactly is anybody supposed to guard this group? LaVine is already a lethal scorer. Put him in a system built around Steph Curry’s historically elite off-ball gravity, and it’s impossible to overstate how efficiently he could score 25 points per game. 

Of course, he won’t be the only threat on the floor. We’re talking about the Golden State Warriors here.
