Gordon is the most expensive player they’re acquiring, but he’ll be worth the price. After all, he’s one of the most reliable floor spacers in the NBA – that makes him a good fit alongside LeBron James by default. 

Still, this package is likely highlighted by Jakob Poeltl. He’s a strong defensive big who can protect the rim and also survive in space when needed.

In tandem with Anthony Davis, he could give the Lakers one of the most imposing defensive frontcourts in the NBA in 2022-23.

Finally, McDermott’s floor-spacing and Richardon’s well-rounded skillset will also be useful. It’s hard to believe that this would be a fair return for Westbrook, let alone Westbrook and picks. Yet, it absolutely will be.
