Of course, you don’t have to tell the Houston Rockets about change. They’ve gone through their share of it in recent years.
It wasn’t long ago that the Rockets were playoff fixtures – and occasional championship hopefuls. They never did win a title during the James Harden era, but they did put together some formidable teams that could have if the chips had fallen differently.
Alas, it was not to be. Eventually, superstar guard James Harden recognized that the Rockets were moving further and further away from a championship, and demanded a trade.
Now, they’re further away than practically any team in the NBA.

Still, their future is bright. Between Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Sengun, and Kevin Porter Jr., there is plenty of young talent with star potential in Space City. It’s just likely to be a few years before they’re ready to regularly win games.
