It’s on the defensive end where this pair should really shine. For the past several years, Adebayo has arguably been overtaxed as the Heat’s center. He’s their primary rim protector, but he’s also expected to switch and generally function as a free safety.

That will no longer be the case following this deal. With Turner’s elite rim protection, Adebayo can focus on creating havoc as a weak side shot blocker and passing lane disrupter.
