Utah Jazz Receive: G Russell Westbrook, 2027 First-Round Pick (LAL), 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Mike Conley, F Bojan Bogdanovic, G Jordan Clarkson
This is the standard edition of the Lakers/Jazz deal. Frankly, it might be the best package for both parties.
On the Lakers’ end, they’re getting three veterans who should be perfect for them in 2022-23. After all, we all know that LeBron James is best utilized when surrounded by floor spacing. Conley and Bogdanovic both provide it at an elite level.
Meanwhile, they also each provide creation to an extent as well. Conley can create for others and Bogdanovic for himself. On the other hand, creation happens to be Clarkson’s specialty.
On the flip side, floor spacing isn’t. For that reason, Clarkson would likely operate as this team’s sixth man. As the league’s 2020-21 Sixth Man of the Year, that’s a role we doubt he’ll have an issue with.

Finally, the Jazz get two valuable first-round picks here. With that said, if the Lakers decide that they can’t afford to part with both, perhaps this deal could be amended.
