Chicago Bulls Receive: G/F Tim Hardaway Jr., F Dorian Finney-Smith, 2025 First-Round Pick (DAL), 2027 First-Round Pick (DAL)

Moving forward with the gambling analogy, a general manager has two types of chips available in this poker game – players, and first-round picks.
Forgive the imperfect analogy – there’s only one type of poker chip. Think about it this way: trading players is akin to folding, and trading picks is akin to going all-in. If you’ve got a good hand, there’s no reason to hoard chips.
The Mavericks have got a very good hand. Meanwhile, they’re not rich in draft capital, but they do have enough to land a star player. With Doncic on this roster, they practically have no excuse not to.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have a decent hand themselves. With that said, it doesn’t feel like one they’re likely to win a championship with.
