Charlotte Hornets Receive: F/C Julius Randle, G/F Cam Reddish
New York Knicks Receive: F Gordon Hayward
Between the Knicks and Hornets, there are many similarities – and differences.
They’re both iconic brands within the Eastern Conference. Moreover, they both conjure up memories of the 90s for those of us who lived through them. In the Knicks’ case, that’s because in the 90s, they were actually relevant. Meanwhile, the Hornets were formed in the 90s.
Unfortunately, there’s a larger scale similarity between these two squads – consistent mediocrity. The last time either of these teams made the NBA Finals was in 1999 when the Knicks made an appearance.
Of course, we’re being generous to the Hornets there – they’ve never even sniffed the Eastern Conference Finals.
