Every NBA team ultimately has the same goal – an NBA championship. The only question is whether they’re aiming to win one now or later.
One of a general manager’s main jobs is to gauge how close their team is to accomplish that goal. Some teams may be a piece away. Teams that are much further than that ought to consider at least turning an eye to the future.
