The Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls, in many respects, had very similar seasons in 2021-22.
Each team entered the year with star-studded rosters, and each exited it disappointed. Granted, if the Nets were a Hollywood blockbuster, the Bulls were something closer to a B-List cast.
After all, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic are all quality NBA players, but Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving are in a different tier.
Yet, each group had a similar result – a first-round exit from the NBA playoffs.

Now, each group is expected to make changes this summer. Of course, expectations alter any decision-making process. The Nets were the bigger letdown, and so they’ll be expected to make bigger changes.
