Utah Jazz
The Brooklyn Nets have made their intentions clear when it comes to any trades involving Kevin Durant. They want the best return regardless of which team presents the offer to them. It would be fair to assume that the same thinking would apply to negotiations involving Kyrie Irving.
If the Nets want a return focused on win-now players that can help them this season, the Utah Jazz make for an interesting trade partner. Utah has several veterans that they are looking to move as they are entering a rebuilding phase.
Malik Beasley and Patrick Beverley were acquired as part of the trade package from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Rudy Gobert and could be on the move again. Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley Jr. have been with the Utah Jazz for a few seasons now and could be on the move as well.
Utah would likely want some draft compensation in exchange for any of their veterans, but Irving would at least give them a chance to clear some future cap space. Since he is slated to hit free agency in 2023, the Jazz could use this as a chance to dump some money on the Nets while taking back an expiring deal.
