How This Deal Impacts New York Knicks
The New York Knicks seem to be the clear front runners when it comes to acquiring Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. They match up well when it comes to the kind of assets that Utah is looking for and have pieces that no other team can match.
New York wants to keep as many of its young players as possible to continue building the foundation of its roster. So, they will push to hold onto players such as Obi Toppin and Quentin Grimes, instead focusing their package around draft capital.
Parting ways with Evan Fournier and Julius Randle would likely be seen as a big win by many people. Anything after that in the trade would be a bonus.
One if not both of them would have to be on the move landing Mitchell, so including them in the deal would be ideal.

Cam Reddish is the young asset that New York parts with in this deal. Reddish has yet to live up to expectations as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but is oozing with potential. He has shown flashes of what he can do and playing power forward at times with the Knicks may have unlocked something.
Getting Bojan Bogdanovic is more than just a throw-in to match salary. He can be a go-to scorer for the second unit, providing another veteran to lean on alongside Derrick Rose. Those two, Isaiah Hartenstein, Immanuel Quickley and Grimes would be a very strong second unit.
