Why The Memphis Grizzlies Do The Deal

Yes. A thousand times yes. There is no good reason why the Grizzlies shouldn’t be involved in the Durant discussions. 

The dynamic between Morant and Durant is especially appealing. Few players can force a defense to collapse as regularly as Morant. His drives to the rim are virtually unstoppable without sending help. 

With that said, opposing teams obviously can’t afford to ignore Durant either. That inside/outside combination should make for one of the league’s most unstoppable duos. 

Still, basketball is a team sport. Granted, the supporting cast behind Durant and Morant may be thinned out, but given their combined powers, it ought to be sufficient. Role players like Steven Adams, Tyus Jones, and others will serve to complement the star duo.
