Any team acquiring Durant would need to have enough left over to offer him a situation where he’ll contend for the title. That’s obviously a priority for him, but given the Nets’ asking price, it takes most teams out of the conversation.
The Memphis Grizzlies can meet that threshold. They obviously won’t be trading Ja Morant in a bid to land Durant. The young star guard, given their age gaps, is one of few players in the NBA who may have more trade value than KD.
