Miami Heat Receive: G Collin Sexton (Sign & Trade)
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G/F Duncan Robinson, 2023 First-Round Pick
Collin Sexton and the Miami Heat could be a perfect marriage for each other. While the Alabama product hasn’t exactly impressed on the defensive end of the court thus far in his career, there’s little reason to believe that it’s been due to a lack of effort.
Sexton has always displayed an immense amount of intensity on the court, something that the Heat should be able to amplify and hopefully translate into a winning brand of basketball.
On offense, Collin Sexton has always been one of the most efficient young guards in the league. He’s equally apt bulldozing his way into the paint, pulling up for jumpers, and spotting up behind the arc. He should slide in seamlessly alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, and Kyle Lowry’s mentorship could bring out a more well-rounded player out of Sexton.
The Cleveland Cavaliers here shed the responsibility of paying Sexton long-term, add a shooter to space the floor for their triumvirate of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, and tack on a first-round pick for working with the Miami Heat and their limited flexibility.

Unless they plan on retaining and extending Collin Sexton — with all reports indicating that he has virtually no market — they probably won’t find a better deal for him than this.
