Miami Heat Receive: G/F Eric Gordon
Houston Rockets Receive: G/F Duncan Robinson, F/C Omer Yurtseven, 2023 first-round pick

While Kyrie Irving is about as great of a fit as the Miami Heat can find to fill their need for a shot creator, there are a few other veteran options that should be available for the right price.

Eric Gordon from the Houston Rockets fits the bill and has been shopped around the league since James Harden fled town. He won’t come cheap, but his services are worth paying for.

Not only would Gordon provide the on-ball creation and late-clock bail-out ability that Miami’s searching for, but he can also be equally effective playing off of Butler and Bam Adebayo and would maintain the Heat’s defensive integrity when he’s lined up on the wings.

A lineup that features a healthy and in-shape Kyle Lowry, Max Strus, Eric Gordon, Jimmy Butler, and Bam might not be as exciting as some of the other groups in the East, but it would be just as lethal, if not more so, than any other possible configuration.

The Rockets here add Omer Yurtseven to their young core and grab the first-round pick that they’re looking for in any deal for Eric Gordon. Duncan Robinson is probably too old to be a part of Houston’s current rebuild, but they should be able to flip him to a contender looking for more shooting down the road.
