Indiana Pacers Receive: G Coby White, F Patrick Williams
Chicago Bulls Receive: C Myles Turner
Poor Nikola Vucevic. It’s almost as if we set out to put him in an awkward position with this article.
We did not. We’re merely trying to land the Bulls a player they need. Unfortunately for Vucevic, he’d likely be losing his starting role following this deal. Turner’s vastly superior interior defense will have him in the Bulls’ opening unit by default.
On the other hand, perhaps that’s not the worst outcome for Vucevic. At 31, he may be ready to transition into a sixth-man role. He’d have the free reign of the offense that he’s simply not been afforded when sharing the floor with LaVine and DeRozan.
As for the Pacers, they’re getting two high-upside players here in Williams and White. The former was the fourth overall pick in the 2020 draft. Health has been his only barrier to success so far in the NBA. White, on the other hand, has struggled to meet expectations on the court.

With that said, if either realizes their potential, this ends up looking like a good deal for the Pacers. If both do, it ends up looking like a heist.
