Some teams enter the 2022-23 season with a clear outlook. Others will be a little less certain of their priorities. The Charlotte Hornets fall into the latter camp.
Unfortunately, Miles Bridges’ pending domestic abuse charges muddied this team’s waters. The offseason plan, prior to that debacle, was clear – extend Bridges, shop veterans, and find a big man.
Having said that, perhaps the last two parts of that plan remain in motion. The Hornets are still brimming with young talent that will soon need to get paid.
LaMelo Ball is the obvious candidate, but retaining P.J. Washington will soon take on extra importance in light of the situation with Bridges.

If they’re still looking to shed some salary, Terry Rozier feels like the odd man out. His annual salary of $21.4 million is on the books through to 2026. Meanwhile, he’s a dynamic offensive guard who several contenders ought to be interested in pursuing.
