Chicago Bulls
This is the first time in franchise history that the Indiana Pacers are rebuilding and they are doing a pretty good job. They should continue looking for teams willing to part with draft picks to upgrade their roster. Indiana should make a call to their Central Division rivals, the Chicago Bulls.
The Chicago Bulls have made a lot of moves upgrading the roster since the 2021 NBA trade deadline. They made their first big move there, acquiring Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic. However, since then, he has become the team’s third option, at best, offensively. This is Zach LaVine’s team and DeMar DeRozan emerged as their late-game option last season.
On a contending team, Vucevic makes sense as a third option, but he is an awkward fit at times with the Chicago Bulls. The Pacers should check in with them and see if they’d be interested in Myles Turner, someone that doesn’t need the ball in his hands to impact the game.
Myles Turner is a better fit off of LaVine and DeRozan on both ends of the court. While Vucevic is a good 3-point shooter in his own right, he struggled to get into a rhythm at times.

Spacing the floor is a role Turner is used to and he would be a massive upgrade defensively. Adding Turner to a lineup that includes Lonzo Ball and Patrick Williams makes the Chicago Bulls a much more dangerous team on both ends.
Since Vucevic is also on an expiring deal, one first-round pick will head to Indiana along with a pick swap in 2024. Vucevic is someone that would be a prime trade candidate ahead of the deadline as well, giving Indiana a chance to double-dip on picking up assets.
