This trade between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers involves players that have been involved in some trade rumors this offseason being swapped for each other. Both end up in situations that could fit them better as well.

For the Pacers, they finally find a trade involving Myles Turner. It feels like he has been on the trade block for years and now lands with the Raptors. Heading North of the Border with him is T.J. McConnell, who has turned into one of the better backup point guards in the league.

A first-round pick is also heading to the Raptors, but it is likely the worst of the three that the Pacers currently own. It would be a surprise if the Boston Celtics selection is higher than the mid-20s, while the Pacers are likely lottery-bound and the Cleveland Cavaliers will also be battling for a playoff spot.

Trading away a pick as a rebuilding team is sometimes a tough sell, but when you are receiving a player of OG Anunoby’s caliber in return, it is worthwhile. He is young enough to still be part of the team’s rebuilding plan and is locked into a pretty team-friendly deal.
