Derrick Favors — Oklahoma City Thunder
If the Philadelphia 76ers want to target a more experienced option at the center position, they could make a call to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since landing there it has been rumored that Derrick Favors could be on the move and he is someone that would fit in well in Philadelphia.
Favors is entering his 13th season in the NBA yet is still only 31 years old. He is a steady performer and would have no qualms about coming off the bench, providing excellent security behind Joel Embiid. Should he miss time, Doc Rivers can be confident turning to Favors to get the job done for a stretch of time.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are always open to taking on young players as they try and build the foundation of their roster. The work that they have done with Lu Dort since he entered the NBA should provide some optimism for Matisse Thybulle that they can do the same for him.
Acquiring Favors will take more than Thybulle. Because Philadelphia is hard-capped, they need to send back at least $11.4 million in salary to the Oklahoma City Thunder or renounce some of their cap holds to get to that number so that the deal is compliant.

Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz and Jaden Springer would be enough salary for this trade to work. Or the team can renounce the rights to players such as Mike Scott, Kyle O’Quinn, Paul Millsap or Myles Powell to clear more space.
