This is a deal that would certainly send the basketball world into a frenzy. The New Orleans Pelicans are used to trading away superstars as they had to do with Chris Paul and Anthony Davis previously, who sought bigger markets.
Rumors swirled that Zion Williamson would do the same, but he agreed to a rookie max extension, so they go all-in to try and contend in this scenario.
Kevin Durant is heading to New Orleans, transforming the Pelicans into instant contenders. They would be must-see television with Durant alongside Williamson and CJ McCollum.
While this trade seems a little light based on what the Nets had been asking for, this is a solid package for Brooklyn. Ingram is already an All-Star and going to be only 25 when the season starts.
