If the Utah Jazz are set on stocking up on draft capital this summer, this trade will suit them better.
By all appearances, that seems to be the plan. The Jazz did receive some quality rotation players in exchange for Rudy Gobert this summer, but the four first-round picks they received were the centerpiece of the deal.
This trade has them stockpiling even more. In total, they’ll be receiving three first-rounders and two swaps for Mitchell here. Between this deal and the Gobert trade, they’ll be well-equipped to rebuild for the future.
With that said, it may not be enough. Depending on your view of pick swaps, this is less draft capital than the team received for Gobert. Of course, the counterargument would be that the Timberwolves overpaid for Gobert.
