First, a caveat: this deal would have to occur via sign-and-trade. As it stands, Collin Sexton remains a restricted free agent.

Furthermore, recent reports suggest that there is not a robust market for his services. There are good reasons for that in theory, but Sexton could eventually prove them all to be silly in practice.

Sexton missed most of 2021-22 with an injury. Still, when we last saw him, he was averaging 24.3 points per game on solid efficiency.

He may be a flawed player: he has tunnel vision, and he’s not a strong defender. He’s still an extremely talented scorer at 23.
