3. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are going to make a trade this offseason, it is just a matter of when. They need to continue reshaping their roster if they have any hope of turning things around and making some noise during the upcoming season.
If they are going to indeed hold onto Russell Westbrook, they need to add some pieces that can help him get comfortable and play at a higher level. We already know what LeBron James and Anthony Davis are capable of accomplishing as a duo, but Westbrook needs to be implemented better.
One way to do that is to add shooters at the other two spots in the lineup. That is where Myles Turner could come in. Turner is one of the better stretch-fives in the NBA, as he is a capable 3-point shooter.
His presence would open up the middle, which was virtually always clogged last season with the Los Angeles Lakers’ inability to consistently threaten teams from long distance. Defensively, Turner is an elite rim protector.

Pairing him with Davis would make the Los Angeles Lakers very formidable on the interior. With Davis’ ability to play out on the perimeter, it is a pairing that should be able to work. Acquiring Turner would also enable Davis to play power forward full-time, which is his preference.
