Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal
In a word: no.
Myles Turner could radically change this team’s fortunes. Once the Chicago Bulls were done formulating their core of LaVine, DeRozan, and Vucevic, there was a common response: this offense should look great, but where is the defense?
Turner answers that question. Granted, it leaves the Bulls with a new query. What they’ll do with Vucevic following this deal is difficult to say. It’s also not a significant enough concern to stop them from making this trade.
Perhaps they move him elsewhere. On the other hand, maybe they move him to the bench. Typically, we don’t picture a big when we picture a sixth man, but Vucevic could keep this team’s second unit humming offensively.

Either way, adding Turner’s rim protection to this team’s mix would be too valuable to pass up on. Instead of merely avoiding disaster this summer, the Bulls could actually spell it for other teams if they make this deal a reality.
