When 28 NBA team is interested in trading for Durant, it shouldn’t be news. But when it’s the Golden State Warriors? It absolutely makes headlines given the history of their relationship. It was even previously reported that Golden State was the only team outright not interested. Now they are?
According to Marc J. Spears, the Golden State Warriors are interested in trading for Kevin Durant, along with ‘more than half the league.’
Spears mentioned how the Warriors could have the best trade package for both parties and listed Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, Moses Moody, and multiple first-round picks. There are some obstacles to a potential trade sending Durant to the Warriors to take into consideration.
Ben Simmons cannot be rostered with another designated rookie extension player. Andrew Wiggins is ineligible to be his teammate for this reason. The Brooklyn Nets would need to move Simmons to a different team before acquiring Wiggins, or send Wiggins to a third team.
