New York Knicks
This is likely a long shot, but the New York Knicks should be considered a dark horse for Kevin Durant. Sean Marks and the Brooklyn Nets would probably prefer just keeping Durant and letting him sit out the remainder of his contract than trade him to their crosstown rivals, but New York has a lot of what Brooklyn would be looking for.
For starters, they have a ton of draft capital. Outside of the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans Pelicans, and now San Antonio Spurs, no one can match the treasure trove of draft picks the Knicks have accumulated. They have also stockpiled second-rounders, which helped them shed the salaries of Kemba Walker, Nerlens Noel, and Alec Burks.
Player-wise, New York has a deep group of youth they can build a package with. Depending on how things shake out the rest of free agency, the New York Knicks could have eight players on their roster 24 years of age or younger. RJ Barrett is the crown jewel, with Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, Cam Reddish and Quentin Grimes also garnering a ton of attention.
Julius Randle can be used to cover a chunk of the salary, as can Evan Fournier or Derrick Rose. New York lacks the All-Star caliber player Brooklyn is seeking outside of Randle, but the Knicks can make up for it with their young players and draft capital.

Based on his business ventures, Durant could want to remain in the Big Apple since that is where they are located. Everything he has said about the New York Knicks would be forgiven if he helped the team win some games and return to prominence.
