His fit on this squad is certainly intriguing. The Raptors appear intent on stacking on big playmaking wings. They’re taking the concept of small-ball and flipping it on its head. Their concept is equally positionless, but it’s anything but small.

Could Ben Simmons, Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam co-exist? On the one hand, the Raptors’ spacing would suddenly be fairly cramped. On the other hand, their combined length, defensive acumen, and transition ability could be overwhelming to opposing teams.

Meanwhile, the Wizards give themselves a chance to remain competitive in acquiring Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby. If they’re not, look for VanVleet to be a 2022-23 trade candidate. On the other hand, the 24-year-old Anunoby would be a nice addition whether they’re competing or rebuilding.
