Atlanta Hawks
It seems that Luguentz Dort’s future is at least partially dependent on the Portland Trail Blazers who would probably reroute him to a third team in exchange for a piece more fitting for their team. One such player that they’ve been linked to this offseason is Atlanta Hawks’ forward John Collins.
Portland has been seeking to upgrade their frontcourt alongside Dame for a while now so acquiring an athletic, two-way force such as John the Baptist makes perfect sense for their roster outlook.
On the other hand, the Atlanta Hawks need to put a better team around Trae Young but have few viable avenues to do so. Collins presents himself as their best trade chip and asserting themselves into a deal with the Blazers and Thunder could be a surefire way to upgrade their roster.
Dort may just be the perfect backcourt mate for Young. His strength, quickness, and defensive versatility will allow him to guard virtually any opposing perimeter player, affording Trae the ability to tackle the weakest matchup and reserve his energy for offense.

The Atlanta Hawks also need to be looking to add more shot creation to their roster, an area that Dort has markedly improved in each and every season.
