Indiana Pacers Receive: G/F Tim Hardaway Jr., F Dorian Finney-Smith, 2024 First-Round Pick (Swap – DAL), 2027 First-Round Pick (DAL)
Toronto Raptors Receive: C Myles Turner, 2025 First-Round Pick (DAL), 2026 First-Round Pick (Swap – DAL)
Dallas Mavericks Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam

There is no avenue towards acquiring a star-caliber player for the Dallas Mavericks that doesn’t involve them sending out a boatload of draft capital. They simply have little else to offer in a trade.

This deal finds them splitting the same amount of draft capital from the previous trade between the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers. Here, the Raptors favor the acquisition of Myles Turner over a first-round pick and a swap.

Would the Raptors make that decision? It’s a tough call. As it stands, they don’t really have a starting-caliber center. Turner fixes that. As one of the league’s premier 3-and-D big men, he’ll seamlessly slot into this Raptors rotation.

At the same time, they may decide that they don’t need one. If they’re committed to their current, wing-heavy brand of basketball, they may pass on this deal.
