The Sacramento Kings are indifferent to the Knicks’ inclusion here. For them, it only changes where they’re sending out the same pair of veterans.

It’s the Washington Wizards who benefit from inviting them to this party. It allows them to obtain an interesting young player in Cam Reddish in addition to the Kings’ fourth overall selection.

Of course, estimates of Reddish’s upside vary across the league. He was a top high school recruit, but his performance at the NBA level has left a little to be desired. Still, Reddish holds potential as a 3-and-D wing with some secondary shot creation chops. He may just need to find the right NBA home.

If the Wizards think they can provide it, this is a nice deal for them. On the other hand, if they count themselves among those who are out on Reddish, they may seek another trade.
