If the Kings’ objective is to make the postseason at all costs this year, they ought to be willing to include the fourth overall pick for a star player like Beal.
We’ve seen the pick linked to lesser names. Some rumors suggest that they’d be willing to move it in exchange for Jerami Grant. With all due respect to Grant, we suspect they’d rather have Beal.
As for the Washington Wizards, this is fair value for Beal, especially given that he’s become a mainstay in trade rumors. They’ll likely use this pick to select Jaden Ivey and start fresh with a new star shooting guard.
