Making the Case: Indiana Pacers
The focus for the Indiana Pacers organization is to build around Tyrese Haliburton long-term. The best way of doing so could be to part with Malcolm Brogdon.
The Pacers seemingly plan to keep Myles Turner at the center position after moving Domantas Sabonis at the NBA trade deadline. They need a big wing player alongside him to better balance out the lineup.
With a stretch-five like Turner that anchors a defense at an elite level, he could be an ideal option next to Kuzma. At 6-foot-9, he can utilize the spacing that Turner provides and play to his strengths in a larger role with pass-first Tyrese Haliburton running the offense.
An underrated element of this trade would be the addition of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He could slot in as a 3-and-D option to add depth to the Pacers’ rotation.

It remains to be seen what the Pacers will end up doing with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The outcome of that pick could influence their outlook in trade talks. However, it’s worth noting, Indiana doesn’t tend to throw rookies into the fire quickly.
