Indiana Pacers Receive: G/F Jarrett Culver, F Ziare Williams
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: C Myles Turner
First, a caveat: Jarrett Culver is due to hit unrestricted free agency this summer. As such, this deal would only be made possible via sign-and-trade.
With that said, the Indiana Pacers are likely more interested in Ziare Williams here anyway. The 10th overall pick in the 2021 draft flashed star potential in his rookie season. Granted, he didn’t play much for the Grizzlies. That would change in Indiana.
At this juncture, we feel it’s necessary to talk about Turner’s fit in Memphis because it should be outstanding. He and Jaren Jackson Jr. would make, arguably, the most modernized twin towers frontcourt in the NBA. Both space the floor, both defend the rim, and Jackson Jr. can defend in space as well.
The pairing would be potentially dominant. It could launch the Grizzlies into a new tier of contention. In fact, they should be eager enough to find out that they’d part with a lot to do it.
