Indiana Pacers Receive: Lonzo Ball
Toronto Raptors Receive: C Myles Turner, F Patrick Williams, 2023 First-Round Pick (POR)
Chicago Bulls Receive: F Pascal Siakam
Surely, the Raptors would prefer this trade to the previous one. They don’t have to worry about Myles Turner’s defense. He’s one of the best rim protectors in the NBA.
Whether this deal is viable will depend on whether the Pacers are high on Ball. On the one hand, they don’t need him. The recently acquired Tyrese Haliburton offers a similar package of playmaking, floor spacing, and defense, with more self-creation chops to boot.
On the other hand, you can never have too much playmaking, floor spacing, and defense. Ball and Haliburton are a viable pairing because they’re both excellent off-ball players.
If the Pacers are interested in pairing them, they may be open to this deal. It would have the additional effect of freeing up space for Isaiah Jackson and Jalen Smith Jr.
