How This Trade Impacts Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are going to be in good shape as long as their trio remains intact. Giannis Antetkounmpo remains an MVP-caliber player, while Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday complement him very well.
But, the supporting cast could use a little tweaking, and the Bucks get some in this trade with the Charlotte Hornets. Acquiring Kelly Oubre Jr. provides the team with another versatile forward, enabling them to delve even more into Giannis at the center spot lineups.
That is ultimately their best weapon, as the Greek Freak is a matchup nightmare at the center spot. But, making a trade like this can only be done if the Bucks know that Bobby Portis will be coming back for at least one more season.
Without Portis in the fold, Milwaukee cannot afford to trade Brook Lopez, who would be the only center on the roster. While losing Lopez even if Portis comes back is a blow to the team, they played well during the regular season while he was sidelined and become a little more dangerous with Oubre in the rotation in his spot.

Still only 27-years old, Oubre can be seen as a long-term acquisition to further soften the blow of losing Lopez.
