How This Trade Impacts Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks are going to look to shake things up this offseason. This hypothetical deal with the Sacramento Kings would be the first, presumably, of a few deals to help them accomplish that.
Landing the No. 4 overall pick is great value for them. It will present them with the opportunity to add a high-ceiling complementary player such as A.J. Griffin, who Buckley has mocked to them in his piece.
Griffin is someone that can instantly slide into the rotation with 3-and-D skills. He knocked down 44.7 percent of his 3-point attempts during his season at Duke and possesses a 7-foot wingspan that will cause problems defensively on the wing.
Adding a player like that, in addition to acquiring Harrison Barnes, who can fill a similar role, will help get the Hawks back on track. Those kinds of versatile players that can knock down 3-pointers are what Trae Young needs around him to succeed, overcome his own deficiencies on the defensive end and take full advantage of his playmaking on offense.

Clearing that long-term cap space by moving Collins can also be seen as a win for the Hawks. The No. 4 overall pick also bolsters any potential package they can build to chase another All-Star this summer.
