The 2022 NBA Draft is quickly approaching. We are beginning to get a better idea of what teams are planning and which prospects they may be targeting with their selections. Several teams are looking to make some trades and maneuver around the board.
It feels like more teams than in years past are looking to move down or out of the first round altogether that are inside the top-10. One of those teams is the Sacramento Kings.
Sacramento is riding an NBA record 16-year playoff drought. They desperately want to snap that streak and are open to trading the No. 4 overall pick to help them accomplish that. With that selection as the centerpiece of a trade package, the Kings could be able to attract an All-Star caliber player.
Depending on the player and team they target, they could get a pick later on in the first round as well. That would give them an established player and a shot at adding another high-upside young player on a cost-controlled contract to the mix.
