Kyle Anderson
Sticking with the theme of big wings, Kyle Anderson makes for an interesting proposition for the Dallas Mavericks.
He also likely stretches the definition of realistic. Unlike TJ Warren, there are no injury concerns with Anderson. He’s got a lower ceiling, but a much higher floor. Teams will be willing to pay him, including his incumbent Grizzlies.
Still, if the Mavericks could move some money around, they’d be able to clear space for his projected contact. Kyle Anderson is a big, high-IQ, low-athleticism playmaking wing with an inconsistent three-pointer. He’ll get a bag this summer, but not a max-sized one.
Also unlike TJ Warren, Kyle Anderson’s skillset is more overlapping with Doncic’s than it is complementary. He’s more of a playmaker than a play finisher.

That’s fine. Kyle Anderson could hypothetically carry this Mavericks offense while Doncic rests. Furthermore, the 33.0% he shot from distance in 2021-22 doesn’t make him an entirely untenable fit in lineups with Luka. The Mavericks should at least give him some thought heading into 2022-23.
