TJ Warren
If the Dallas Mavericks are hoping to buy low on a potential second option for the electrifying Luka Doncic, they may not need to look any further than TJ Warren.
The last time we saw the scoring wing/forward in action, he was impressive. In 2019-20, Warren averaged 19.8 points per game on a sterling 61.0 True Shooting % (TS%). That’s a rare combination of volume and efficiency.
Unfortunately, 2019-20 was not yesterday, or even last season. Injuries have kept Warren on the shelf for the better part of two years. He’s unlikely to receive a contract that matches that same 2019-20 production.
All of which creates an opportunity for the Mavericks. If TJ Warren can get healthy, he’s the type of secondary option these Mavs could use on the wings. If he can’t, they likely won’t have to invest too much into what ends up being a failed experiment.

They should pursue TJ Warren as aggressively as they can afford to this summer.
